Stress is the most
commonly used word in these modern times. It has no age, caste creed or
sex bar. It is mental pressure caused due to our modern day life style
& its various demands, competitions, greed, lust etc. most of the
ailments today Eg: Diabetes, Hypertension, Cardiac problems,
Depressions, certain Skin Diseases, Cancer etc. are precipitated by
stress & mental tension. It has taken away the charm of simple
living, peace & tranquility.
It is a rat race we
race living in & in the process we have forgotten to enjoy simple
pleasure & joys of life. Stress is something which we have & simply
learn to live with it. But we can certainly reduce the effects of stress on
our lives by adapting a few simple or a single method.
HOBBY: find out what gives you inner pleasure & joy eg:
gardening, sports, music, painting, cooking, watching movies, meeting
friends etc. cultivate your hobby & take out time for it. It relaxes
you because it is something which you enjoy & which gives you
immerse pleasure & satisfaction
GOING OUT: going for a long walk or a drive is also another
stress buster.
READING: It is one of the best habit its relax you. Besides it
also improves vocabulary & knowledge. A good book can be your best
companion never making you feel lonely.
MUSIC: just listening to music of your choice can lift your
spirits when you are feeling either low or stressed out.
POSITIVE THINKING: at times you are faced with situations, which
are not of your choice, but you have to compromise. At such times it is
better to compromise with a positive attitude rather than allowing it.
Its become a pressure which leads to stress & tension. It may be
difficult, but certainly not impossible. Because the very used
“IMPOSSIBLE” says “I M POSSIBLE”.
MEDITATION: One of the
oldest methods of reducing stress, daily practice of meditation can help
achieve peace & tranquility of mind. It improves all the facilities
of the brain making you healthier in mind & body.
